We would all love to live in a perfect world. A utopia, where the food was plentiful, the air was clean and everyone got along despite their differences. It would be nice but unfortunately that is not the type of world we live in. When it comes to that kind of dream, mankind might need help to realise it, which brings us to our final reason, for alien abduction, contact.
According to some experiencers aliens are not out to fulfil some devious plan of world domination by ripping us from our beds at night or a plan to repopulate their species. They are there as a kind of guide to help us along our evolutionary path, spiritually and culturally. They are our ‘Space Brothers.’
During the cold war era several men, George Adamski, Truman Bethurum and Billy Meier for example, claimed to be in contact with an alien species that brought a message of peace and love. The Nordics, as they were called due to them being tall, white and blond, warned the contactees that if we didn’t change our ways, mankind would be on a path to utter annihilation. Basically our hatred would be our own undoing.
When these Nordics contacted a human they would show the contacted images of nuclear warfare, hunger and environmental destruction. But, if we listened to their message, mankind could change its fate. We could go from a society that engaged and indulged in tribal war to a society that embraced social justice and brotherhood. It’s a nice thought but that message wasn’t always received very well.
Most of the contacted were treated like madmen by their fellow man. Marginalized, trivialized and believed to be more cult leaders than visionaries with a message that could potentially save us from ourselves. And as the cold war came to an end that message that the contacted attempted to spread was believed by many to have finally been realized. I don’t know about you, but I highly doubt it.
Every once in a while my thoughts go back to my meeting that grizzled old war veteran and his story. And each and every time I believe it more and more. He is long since dead but many still come forward with a very similar story. Do I necessarily believe them all? Of course not, but I keep an open mind.
