“There I was in a black dress, fingers trembling on the stand. With a thousand eyes staring at me, wanting me to complete the reading. It hit me that this was really it, that my loved one was really gone. Never to return.

I felt selfish for having these thoughts, because I was happy that they were out of pain, I should have been rejoicing in the fact that they had started a new chapter in their life.

Then it happened, I broke down in front of my family and family friends. The last couple of months had been torture for everyone particularly the deceased. “

Some people consider death to be a morbid thing; others consider it to be the beginning of a new chapter. Regardless of how the person died, accepting the death of a loved one is always difficult.

So what happens to someone’s soul when they die? I strongly believe that they remain close to their loved ones right after the death has happened. Then they go into the spiritual realm. Many of us have witnessed messages from our loved ones in the form of dreams, or seeing butterflies or red robins. Or even feathers!

Every soul attends their own funeral because that’s the time, when their connection to their body ends. They can finally leave the earth plane and not linger. I’m very open to sensing spirits so I can tell if the deceased is there, at the funeral or not.

Just because they have gone does not mean that they will not be around you. They will send you messages and they will watch over you. No matter how painful the grief is you will heal in time. The important thing to remember is that spirit is all around us! All the time they are around us. Guiding us and supporting us from afar. The vail between this world and the next is extremely thin.

If you want to talk to your loved one then do. They will listen even though they are in the next life. Life is a beautiful thing, just because you die does not mean it’s the end. It’s the start of a new chapter.
