Fear in the Paranormal

In the field of physical research, otherwise known as the paranormal, people are interacting with phenomena and having fearful experiences, and drudge through history that can be very disturbing. Along with our entertainment media’s romance with fear, and the ever present unknown variable, fear will have to be managed first and foremost.

Fear distorts the vision, minimizes your power, and magnifies the danger in any of life’s situations. Managing fear is paramount to a healthy life and essential to any researchers who seek these experiences. True seekers quest from a heart that is fearless through observation, a mind that is questioning, and hands that are empowered with compassion for those they are trying to help.

We will always experience fear, but that does not mean we have to fill our hearts with it. Fear is translated in the mind into thoughts or images. This will be where we address the problem. It is in the mind that we choose what to accept and empower. Become aware of it when it comes and observe the fearful thoughts.

This really is the hardest part, becoming aware when it is on you and not biting the hook. This is not to say danger does not exist, because it does. We just do not have to be afraid. This will allow for a more correct analysis of the situation and clear problem solving thinking.

Our underlying fears exist at different frequencies, from a mild static that sabotages our perceptions to paralyzing terror. How we process our internal emotions versus external stress is the key to grounding. Some believe that fear is a creation of the mind. This is a half truth. When we become afraid we empower a fearful mind through focusing on thoughts of the same. It does not stay inside.

We radiate our emotions into our energy field. Animals, plants, and children respond to our emotional states. We also respond to other’s emotions, so not every emotion we feel is not our personal experience until we accept the fear and continue the cycle.

In the paranormal there are phenomena such that emit emotional energy, or magnify our own emotions.

We project our emotional body while we are alive, and it is theorized that ghosts are humans that are stuck in emotional traps. Also areas like haunted locations that store emotional energy from traumatic experiences will also radiate such fear, sadness, and anger. When researching, one must be able to process such emotional information without getting lost in it.

Digging into histories of violence and unexplainable encounters will affect you. Sometimes all you can do is breathe and let it pass through. If you cannot regain the mind’s dialogue in a moment of terror, then tapping into a loving memory is a powerful tool. When we remember things the clearest detail is how we felt.

If you focus on how you felt then, the present fear will wash away allowing the opportunity to look at the situation with different eyes and counter the fear thoughts with empowering thoughts. This is a very simple technique for fear management even for children. Our happy moments are the most powerful gift we can give each other.

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” Frank Herbert, Dune, Bene Gesserit litany against fear

David’s writings cover varying subject matters broaching a wide range of topics on the unknown from spiritual to ghost hunting to the occult. His newest contribution to the field of Physical Research otherwise known as the Paranormal, is called The Lawson Method. It is a cross between meditation and Shamanism as a practice tool to sit till and learn of the haunted environment. Thus yielding the same results as a walk about investigation where much noise interferes with the process of knowing who is in need from the other side. He is one of the lead empaths and researchers with the global organization, The Hunt with Holzer. Through reflection he is able to share his perceptions to help others look at their own. His writings and teachings come purely from the desire to give back to the community and to inspire others to do the same.
